Exact combining-mark controlsCopy-ready text examples
These examples demonstrate distinct Unicode code points and combining marks. Appearance varies by font.
Know what's happening to the characters
A Unicode glitch is a sequence of text characters, not a picture of text. Combining marks, replacement alphabets and unusual symbols can produce a dramatic appearance while changing the underlying code points that apps receive.
Example and how to use it
Type a short phrase and compare a light transformation with an intense one. Copy both into a plain editor to check that actual characters have been inserted. When troubleshooting broken rendering, remove stacked marks or switch back to ordinary letters.
What to check before sharing
Unicode support varies by app and font. Visually identical words can contain different code points, affecting character counts, search matching and accessibility. Avoid deceptive lookalike letters when clarity or identity matters.
Try a different result
Use the Unicode-focused controls here to inspect the text; the main generator is better for quick visual browsing.
Inspect a digital or noisy result
Use the code-point inspector and normalization selector to see the characters underlying the effect. Marks and lookalikes alter the Unicode string. For actual UTF-8 byte encoding, use the Number Text Generator; a noisy-looking string is not binary data, an encrypted message or an RGB image.
