What can you make with this tool?
Encode a string as letter numbers, Unicode code points or UTF-8 bytes.
Try it with your own text
- Enter ABC in the main text field.
- Compare Space, Dash, Dot, A=1, A=0.
- Use the Copy button beside your chosen result, then paste it into the field where you need it.
What should you check before copying?
Letter numbering affects only the letter-number result. Separator changes the numeric displays. Base64 encodes bytes; it is not encryption and does not make a message private.
Check the encodings with ABC
| Output | Expected result |
|---|---|
| A=1 letter numbers | 1 2 3 |
| UTF-8 decimal bytes | 65 66 67 |
| Hex bytes | 41 42 43 |
| Base64 | QUJD |
A non-ASCII character can use several UTF-8 bytes. For example, é is U+00E9 but its UTF-8 bytes are 195 169, or C3 A9 in hexadecimal. The Unicode specification explains the distinction between code points and encoding forms.
